If you’re a grown up who hates being in photos, join the club. I hate having my photo taken as well. Because I totally get it, I prefer giving prompts over static posing to ensure that everything you do is natural to who you are as a couple. I shoot quickly and do it while we’re chatting so that you don’t have time to tense up or wonder if you’re “doing it right”. I often hear from my clients immediately following their sessions that they are surprised at how easy and relaxed they felt at their shoot, many even telling me they had fun, but there’s no way we got anything good because they didn’t feel like we were doing anything different than how they normally act. However, I always hear a different tune after they see the final images. “I can’t believe how great we looked! You actually caught him smiling!” This is why engagement sessions are a great way to practice being photographed and ensures your wedding photos are much more natural, easy, and fun!
Absolutely! I love traveling for weddings and always have my passport ready. I’ve photographed weddings and engagements throughout the US, as well as the UK, Africa, Mexico, and Jamaica. I love to travel to locations I’ve never been so ask if your spot is on my Must See list and you might just get a discount!.
Yes! You can pay via check, Zelle, QuickPay, and any other bank transfer option. My standard payment plan is 1/3 of the total balance at the time of booking, 1/3 three months before the wedding date, and the final payment is due one month before the wedding. If you need to alter those terms, we can definitely chat!
While the number of photos will vary based on the events you have planned and the size of your wedding, typically you’ll receive roughly 50-75 photos per hour of photography coverage. Standard engagement sessions receive 40-50 images.
I typically post 1-2 sneak peeks on social media a day or two after. Standard turnaround time for engagement photos is 2 weeks. The turnaround time for weddings is 4 weeks.
I do basic editing (color correction, exposure, cropping) on all images you receive. Extended editing (stray hairs, acne, wrinkles, hair-tie, or ex-girlfriend removal, etc) is also available upon request at an additional cost per image.
- First, let’s chat! Being comfortable with your photographer is one of the best ways to ensure great photos, which is why I always request a zoom chat before we sign any paperwork.
- If we have a great chat and we both decide it’s a good fit, I’ll send over your paperwork including your invoice and contract. This will be something we both sign and that you’ll have available to you if at anytime you need to refer back to it.
- You’ll select the photography package within that paperwork that best fits your needs, accept that quote, sign the contract, and submit that back to me.
- I sign the contract and you pay the first of three invoices, the retainer, which is 1/3 of the total amount due. Your second 1/3 payment is due 3 months prior to the wedding date, and the final 1/3 payment is due one month before the wedding date.
